MTM's Environmental Mission Statement

MTM is dedicated to environmental improvements that foster a sustainable future and lead to social and economical improvements by regularly testing component materials, requiring vendors to provide certification of component materials, recycling and using recycled materials where possible, and reducing print waste by encouraging on-line recognition solutions and on-demand printing. MTM continually looks for new opportunities for environmental improvement.

MTM is devoted to lean manufacturing. Following lean princibles allows for increased productivity and overall company growth by eliminating waste in work processes, overproduction and extra steps. That savings is passed on to our clients.

Green

Our In-House Printing System - FlexCom

MTM’s FlexCom digital printing solution certainly proves the adage that “necessity is the mother of invention.” Gone are the days of stock on the shelf or outdated brochures as products are updated. With digital printing, warehouse space needs have been dramatically reduced — allowing for more efficient use of resources and a significant decrease in wasted paper and motion. MTM is the leader in this in-house technology and continues to lead the charge in sustainability utilizing FSC certified 100% post consumer fiber paper. All excess paper is recycled as well.

• Complies with all federal and state environmental regulations including reporting and testing
• Provides employee training to ensure compliance with all policies and government regulations

MTM Recognition continually works to use materials and manufacturing processes with the least amount of impact to the environment – our efforts include:

1. Upgrading equipment to reduce chemical waste
2. Replacing mercury-based light bulbs
3. Encouraging our vendors to provide products in recycled packaging
4. Promoting the use of on-line catalogs and ordering to reduce paper waste
5. Advocating EDI, electronic data transfers, on-line ordering, and paperless reporting
