SHRM 2010

Moments before the Expo doors opened for the largest Human Resources conference of the year, MTM was preparing for the onslaught of the 11,000 conference attendees that would flood the SHRM Expo hall. With over 600 vendors, it was a veritable shopping mall for HR Professionals. Shoppers went from one booth to the next looking for the latest and greatest product or program to make their job easier and more cost efficient. Of course the race was on to get the best “swag” from each vendor as well. There were tote bags, stuffed animals, free drinks, food and even a chance to take a picture with Eric Estrada!

With our signature white padded carpet and attractive mix of symbolic and lifestyle awards, MTM was once again an inviting destination for attendees. MTM offered the annual collectible coin highlighting the San Diego event , bright red Eco-friendly bags and pens.

The focus this year was a newly launched, innovative program called HighFive™. It was very well received as it’s a simple do-it-yourself recognition solution. Any company large or small, can initiate the program instantly and begin to recognize and encourage positive behaviors. We showed off our custom jewelry and awards for those looking for a more symbolic program incorporating the company culture, history and icons. The framed painted collages were an eye catcher, commemorating years of service and/or retirement recognition. Each painted piece tells a unique story about the company and its recipient.

After three days of standing, talking, meeting and greeting, our team was exhausted but as always it was a great experience, especially with the San Diego backdrop. I can’t say enough about the city and the fantastic weather. We came away with new friends and clients and we look forward to seeing the full house of HR friends in the city of lights (Viva Las Vegas), next year for another high rolling SHRM show.
