Roger has been a part of the MTM Recognition organization for over 40 years. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Oklahoma
City University and has served on the Board of the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. Roger has taken corporate
wellness to heart in recent years, training for and completing his first Ironman triathlon in 2010.
V.P. of Business Development
Mike Ketcherside has worked at MTM Recognition Corporation for the past 25 years and has been the Vice President of Sales since 2007. He manages a team of 50 recognition consultants and multiple National Account Managers. He and his team focus on inspiring employees, recognizing their accomplishments and achievements, and driving success within their company. Mike graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 1990 with a BS in Marketing.
Mike serves on the Jim Thorpe Executive Council and is a member of the Greater OKC Chamber, Oklahoma City Human Resource Society (OCHRS), The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Recognition Professionals International ((RPI) and OKC Landrunners. Mike is the Race Director for the Run for Recognition benefiting Special Olympics Oklahoma, an avid runner and ultra runner and is married to Laura.
Molly Martin began work at MTM in 1995 as General Counsel and HR Policy Director. Her previous work experience includes the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals and the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office. She holds an undergraduate degree from Oklahoma Christian University where she is now an adjunct professor of HR Management, teaching best practices in employee engagement in the workplace. In addition she is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
On a daily basis, Molly can be found living out her motto- “Making every client experience meaningful and memorable in a positive way- whatever it takes”. She loves a challenge and says “If it were easy – anybody could do it. I love our products, processes and our flexibility as a manufacturer – it’s what make us unique”.
Molly enjoys all aspects of our business and over her 19 year tenure she has lead many initiatives. She is active in the Oklahoma Quality Foundation as a State Quality Examiner and is an integral part of key sales and marketing programs within our company. Most days she can be found on twitter @mmartin, sharing her wisdom and valuable tidbits for all to see and share.
She has been married to her husband David for 20 years and is mom to Kathryn and Garrison, and is their biggest fan.
Founder and Chairman
Founder, Chairman, Visionary, David R. Smith founded MTM in 1971 with a little capital and a big dream. Dave spent his early years in Alabama where he excelled in basketball and developed a strong work ethic. Coaching was Dave’s passion in those early years, leading Southeast High School and later, Oklahoma Christian University to many basketball victories. That competitive spirit is what led Dave and his wife Linda to build a business that would thrive and grow. Today, MTM Recognition is one of the largest and most successful recognition companies in North America. As MTM’s Chairman of the Board, Dave has his finger on the pulse of the business while enjoying another competitive venture, professional bass fishing. Fishing FLW, BASS and the PAA, Dave has made his mark in this star studded field as well. Dave has earned many awards in his career, from his years in basketball, professional fishing and as a corporate leader and visionary
V.P. of Merchandising
Monica Finley has worked for MTM Recognition for almost twenty years and is the VP of Merchandising. Some of her roles include collaborating on the overall strategic objectives of MTM Recognition, overseeing procurement, as well as determining the direction of product selections for programs. Monica also works with the sales force regarding brand awareness, request for proposal submissions and client presentations. In 2010, she participated as an Oklahoma Quality Award examiner, which is the state level of the Malcolm Baldridge Award (Quality). She was also a member of the class of 32 Signature LOKC program for 2013 – 2014.
Monica obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park where she played on the women’s basketball team. She has also received a Masters degree with honors from Oklahoma City University.
She has been married for over ten years to her husband Chris, enjoys traveling and watching sports (especially basketball) and spending time with family and friends.
Director of Human Resources
Sandy Harris heads up MTM Recognition’s Human Resources Department as well as putting her CPA certification to use leading Accounting and Payroll.
Sandy graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and came to MTM Recognition in 1986. She has spent most of her career at MTM and attributes learning how to work and how to treat people from CEO Dave Smith and his leadership team.
She says, “I use many of the words that I have heard Dave say to make decisions every day, like…’Do what is right. Integrity is who you are when no one else is watching. Being ungrateful is a form of disrespect. Never mistreat the little guy’.”
Sandy enjoys spending time with her husband, Cliff, (also works at MTM) and their two grown daughters, and grandchildren. In her tenure, Sandy has been an Oklahoma Quality Award Examiner and has been recognized with the Jack Holt Leadership Award, the Process Improvement Award and the Stepping Up To The Plate Award.
V.P. of Operations
Bob Thomas came to MTM Recognition in 1983 and was offered a temporary position after serving in the Air Force. Turned out not to be so temporary. In his 32 years here, he has been involved with manufacturing, safety and environmental, purchasing, maintenance, program sales (Special Olympics, NCAA), facilities expansions and remodels, acquisitions, merchandising and product development. He has two grown children and a wife of over 35 years, Debbie (who also works at MTM). Bob lives MTM’s purpose statement “Making Meaningful Experiences Memorable” by incorporating the company’s Core Values into everyday work. Bob says, “It’s exciting to see the awards we work on, on TV, held high in celebration in that person or team’s moment of victory. We live for that, and knowing we helped make that moment memorable for them, is special too.
V.P. of Administration
Darrel started with MTM Recognition in 1983. He has held a variety of leadership positions in manufacturing, order scheduling, graphic arts, digital printing, customer service, information technology, and account management. Under his direction, many technology strategies exist today that are vital to the success and sustainability of MTM. Some examples are MTM’s production tracking system, digital asset management system, MTM’s Program Builder, MTM’s digital printing system FlexCom©, and MTM’s points recognition platform. Darrel oversees national accounts, the corporate recognition customer service team in Oklahoma City, and MTM’s recognition and reward programs.
Darrel was born and raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Oklahoma Christian University. He has been married for 25 years and loves spending time with his family, playing golf, and going to concerts.
